to the very few who have most of the good stuff
the founding fathers shouted out back then that

they knew what they were building when
they classified children, grown women and

grown men as 3 fifths human and a form
of cattle to be sold and bought like clay pots

to the very few who have most of the good stuff
and keep their blinders on as they stroll

downtown and in our common bird-filled parks
finding the "others" a problem for being themselves there

the common folks of America say
"wake up you fucking creeps!"

Almighty God created us all with
the same intestines that fill up with shit every day

if we are healthy and have enough to eat
and drink and let our second brains digest it all

to the very few who have most of the good stuff
I propose the metaphor of grafting fruit trees

we take a grape vine from Bordeaux
vigorously red and sugary and

graft it on native American roots
and get a dilemma solved:

new vines bursting from our earth that
are strong - sheltering turtles, doves and weeds

America can be a lush, dynamic ecosystem
when all its seeds can bloom in its duff

to the very few who have most of the good stuff
be afraid, be very afraid now that

3 fourths of the American people support
the just demands of our African American citizens

Si, si, okay - change is coming in November that
will make your fevered heads spin like they

spin in micky mouse cartoons
no longer under copyright protection:
